Auto Body Troubles? Bring it to Miller’s!

Normally car talk is not my forte, but as I recommend all things awesome around New England, I just have to make a suggestion should you ever find yourself in need of a great auto body shop like I was recently. A few weeks ago, I was minding my own business driving through Salem to a girls’ night dinner when a pickup truck pulled out from a stop sign, turning the corner somehow right into my front driver’s side. I still have no idea how the guy hit me as I had slowed when I saw him coming and was clearly visible once he turned, but anyway, it happened and I had the right of way in the scenario. A police officer came, we exchanged info, the other driver was cited, and my car was towed away to a lot in Salem.

Don't mind the poor quality photo - Nick's dad took it with a flip phone! It's hard to see here, but the damage extended to the door - I couldn't open it when after the accident happened.

I didn’t know what to do from that point until my boyfriend and his family, who actually race stock cars, recommended Miller’s Auto Body of Manchester, NH to me. For years they had been bringing cars to Duncan (the owner of Miller’s) to fix up and he had always done a superb job. After this whole ordeal, I realize exactly why he comes so highly recommended! Upon calling in my claim to insurance the day after the accident, I proceeded to call Duncan afterwards. Because my car was stuck in Massachusetts and I wanted it fixed in New Hampshire, it was going to have to be towed up there somehow. I was dreading the hassle of figuring that all out. Duncan was wonderful from the start and did all the work of contacting the towing/auto clinic in Salem and getting it sent up to his shop in New Hampshire.

He assisted me every step of the way through this long process, from helping to deal with the insurance people, the company for my rental car, and the appraisers. He stayed on top of everything and always kept me updated with the progress and next steps. He answered all of my questions and was always extremely nice. My car was finally done today, over 3 weeks since the accident (thanks to the slow insurance agents of the person who hit me, slow appraisers, as well as the fact that Kia only has one parts warehouse in the U.S. on the other side of the country), but Duncan got the car fixed in quick time after the parts arrived. He even stayed at the shop late today so I could pick up my car after work. The car looks amazing! Good as new. He also fixed an ugly dent that was in the hood, and I’m finally proud to drive this vehicle again.

Although getting into an accident and dealing with the aftermath is a stressful event, Duncan always made me feel reassured and satisfied knowing my car was in good hands and things were getting accomplished. He is really the best person to work with for any auto body issues you may have. Thumbs way up to Duncan and Miller’s Auto Body of Manchester, NH!

My car tonight, looking spiffy after picking it up!
